Mercedes is never running out of hot news about their new-generation lineup. This New Year is the beginning of the 2016 Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman. As we know, the S-Class debut was made since 15th May 2014 ago. Then, Mercedes want to revive their old Maybach brand with new S-Class lineup and promises the most luxurious vehicle ever made. Of course, they will cooperate with Maybach brand as their sub-brand.

According to the concept, the size of S600 Pullman is wider around 8 inches long than the predecessors. You can see spacious interior and long-wheelbase through the leaked photos below. Mercedes will offer not only S600 but also S500 as the siblings of Maybach Pullman. The distinctive features are its engine choices among them whether eight or twelve cylinders that you will pick. They had already revealed this new car in USA and China market at Los Angeles Auto show and Guangzhou, China. They set the price at $165,000 and $231,000 per 18th December 2014 ago. However, we got the newest information about the price which will be on sale in April 2015. The price starts from $189,350.

Body-Mounted Design

You will never see the traditional of Mercedes-Benz exterior at 2016 Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman. They stretched the wheelbase plus adding new Maybach badges. This is their effort in order to separate the new S-Class with regular S-Class. The unique shortened rear door has successfully made our eyes amazed. Mercedes was more offered body-mounted design rather than the door mounted which become the typical of other sedans. You can see a melted door into a body here obviously. In addition, this car carries the seats behind the door cutout. So, the passengers feel a private cabin inside this car. There are also Maybach logos mounted on the pillar to make them more proud while riding this luxurious sedan.

New Features

Once you are inside the cabin, you will see new smaller doors behind the C-Pillar. These doors are new features of 2016 Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman plus subtle details. The seats are covered with soft sculpted bucket and leather materials that makes you more comfortable and relax. If you want us to describe the cabin with four words, we could say leather, metal, space, and leather. Yep, all those materials featured the cabin perfectly. You will find the additional eight-inch wheelbase in the back seats. There is a chauffeur mode for side rear passenger that can use for moving away the front seat with a footrest. Engine Top Speed

The 2016 Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman will have 6.0 Liter V-12 engine with a pair of turbo. It produced at least 530 horsepower and 612 pound-feet of torque. These powers transferred to the wheels via seven-speed 7G-Tronic Plus automatic transmission. It reached 0-62 mph in 5 seconds. Meanwhile, its sibling brother had 4.7 liter engines as standard and produced 455 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque with twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The difference is on the transmission, and S500 uses new 9G-Tronic automatic.
